Pursuing this particular medium (get it?) for my writing was something that I thought through extensively. I thought through the pros and the cons of using this particular platform as opposed to others for such a lengthy amount of time that I stalled out completely. Writing on this platform for me comes with a bit more pressure that I don’t feel in other spaces. Nevertheless here I am.
Here I will be my authentic self. All of my articles will not be polished or “professional.” That is not a metric that I choose to center my life around. Instead, I choose to create content that focuses on issues of theology, race, emotional health, physical health, etc. Furthermore, I will write about things that I find beautiful. I want to put out and call attention to things that are lovely. Some of my posts will inevitably seem like something you would find in a journal and still others will feel scholarly. All will be from the core of who I am. I will write simply because I feel that I have something to say. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
